| post recommendations of restaurants and such here. i think this would be a helpful thread when people need to find good/new places to eat.
i'll start off with:
full moon sushi on brookhurst and ellis. small japanese sushi restaurant with pretty good sushi. i usually spend $15 for an individual meal consisted of a lunch special (crunchy roll, salad, miso soup, and a choice of teriyaki chicken/beef or tempura), and two extra hand rolls. you guys should try it if you haven't yet. they also have another location in costa mesa.

tacas tumbras a tomas - the place was awesome since it was located in the grand central market the atmosphere makes you want to try everything. at first i was like damn $2 something for a taco?! but then i found out why. I ordered 2 carnita tacos 2 carne and 1 torta split between kendra and me and it was waaaaaaaay to much food.
the tacos are the size of burritos here! i preferred the carne over the carnita for a good reason, it was hella juicy! best carne ive ever had!! torta was bad either but definitely come here for the tacos

place was expensive!! portions were small but filling though. meal was like $20 bucks for tea, a sandwich and potato soup. theyre scones are good and service was ehh. overall if you have money to blow, want to go to a small place that looks like paris, and like scones, then i would recommend it

continental fried rice here is great! most of the food here is pretty good actually. happy hour starts at 10 and its either buy 1 get one free or half off their menu. on the weekends (fri-sun) they have live bands here playing cover songs, and it gets packed!! definitely a good place if you want to have a bday or have a big group of friends and just drink! so on the scale of 1-10 i would give this a 7 in terms of entertainment and food. but service maybe a 4-6 and thats being generous. honestly if you want a lively atmosphere for a event and drinks and decent priced food($6-$12) this is the place for you
